Salty, crunchy and oh so delicious! Enjoy this Caribbean staple as a savory snack or as a whole meal – we won’t judge!
Take on this adventure from the comfort of your kitchen. Here’s what you’ll need…
- 4 tablespoons of cooking oil (vegetable or canola)
- Green plantains
- 2 1/2 cups of water
Peel and cut the plantain into approximately 1-inch chunks
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Place the plantains in the oil and fry each side for about 3 minutes.
Take your fried plantains and flatten them by placing a plate over them and pressing down.
Dip the plantains in water, then resume frying them for 1 minute on each side.
Salt to taste and serve!
