So, what’s the secret to the perfect rum punch? It’s all in the ratios; all you need to remember is this rhyme for the perfect rum punch:
One of Sour, Two of Sweet, Three of Strong & Four of Weak
- 1 ounce Lime/Lemon Juice (Sour)
- 2 ounces Simple Syrup (Sweet)
- 3 ounces of White or Dark Rum (Strong)
- 4 ounces of Fruit Juice (Weak)
How to make it…
Shake and serve over ice in your favorite glass with a fruit garnish if you really want to get into the island vibe. Feel free to add Angostura Bitters, Nutmeg or Grenadine if you’ve got it on hand.
